Thank you for riding along with us on the Silver Stage these past 25 years. We’ve met some great people and, together, discovered a never-ending world of creativity. You’ll find some of our discoveries listed in the archived issues. Now this is good bye. We’re at the end of the trail, and about to park our stage coach in our own history museum.
Always be on the lookout for the presence of wonder
“Art is so subjective. The viewer has his or her own filters as to what they see and what it means uniquely to them. That’s why art is an important part of our world. It shows us directions we might not otherwise have gone to without help of artists and their artistic interpretations of the world we see.” [Story]
She paints motion with ribbons of color
Her art creates a welcome release of anxiety—something we all suffer from right now with so many changes in today’s world. Jenny’s paintings are timeless. And show us that beauty endures regardless of temporary upheavals and setbacks. Whatever seems wrong in your world today is insignificant in comparison to what built these canyons and how they have endured over the ages. [Story]
Discovering a Clear Seeing Place in a Natural World
Standing back, looking at these paintings, I feel drawn into a place of peace, cloaked in serenity…safe. In a world that has been traumatized by a plethora of fright and fear, Cristin’s paintings provide respite. It’s a heady experience, and I want to stay there. It’s hard to move away. How does she do this? Create a safe haven on canvas? [Story]

Endlessly creative and innovative, one of Cheri Isgreen’s latest endeavors is something she calls Beyond Raku. The process involves creating and firing raku tiles in her outdoor studio in Montrose, Colorado. Then she finishes them with a variety of pigments, other materials, and found objects. Watch this video to see how she does it.
“Painting is my passion. I delight in the effort, and become lost within the process of each evolving piece.”
Marko creates dynamic compositions in contemporary style utilizing a vivid visual memory combined with a strong sense of design. There is an honest sense of place and time expressed in the subjects that Marko Marino portrays.
“My path is to follow beauty, a trail of loveliness, to a place where truth and kindness still exist—and there is hope for tomorrow.”
