[October 2019 | San Juan Silver Stage]

In keeping with the spirit of encouraging and maintaining a vibrant downtown, we asked businesses in downtown Montrose if they will be willing to stay open late on the first Friday of October, November, and December. Most said they would stay open until 7 P.M. (and later if customers request it). Participating locations, listed in the sidebar below, will have special offers and discounts, and could also include live music, food, and beverages.

The idea is to support our downtown and have fun doing it! You’ll see old friends, and might make new ones. Walk around, visit the stores, get a bite to eat or a drink, see what’s happening. If you’re in a shopping mood, you’re likely to find everything you need. And even if you aren’t, you will probably discover more that you absolutely “want” but don’t necessarily “need.”

We could tell you here what to expect, but our expectations might be different from yours . . . and the whole point of First Fridays is for you to discover downtown Montrose and learn what all it has to offer! You’ll be pleasantly surprised at what you find.

Once you’ve finished your walkabout, there are several downtown options for a libation or a meal, or maybe both. Stop in at one of the eat and drink establishments listed in the sidebar. We’ll be watching for you to join us.
