SECOND SATURDAY STROLL is entering its 4th year. We started it, taking advantage of time when locally-owned, independent businesses are open, and thinking that more folks are on the road passing through Delta from Montrose, Ridgway, Ouray, Cedaredge, Hotchkiss, Paonia, Crawford, and Grand Junction. We now have up to 35 Delta businesses participating in Second Saturday Stroll, although most close early. We call ourselves ‘the Strollers’ and even have a Facebook Page!
Although many businesses close after the Farmers Market closes, others, like Clubb’s, Tara’s, and DeVito’s stay open all day. I own TADA! Your ART Space, at 450 Main Street and also have the TADA! Listening Room, where we present house concerts in an intimate setting. There are some excellent artists performing in the Listening Room — Joe Alan, Gabrielle Louise, Deliberate Kin (bluegrass duo from Kansas), Mary Kleinsorge, classical guitar. The Listening Room is geared toward those of us who want to hear some great performers, but are way past the nightclub scene. Those of us who enjoy ending an evening by 9 p.m, not starting one. Those of us who want to listen to music, in a more relaxed and respectful setting.
The Listening Room has a partnership with KVNF, and we have a good group who serve on the Delta/Cedaredge Citizens Advisory Board. TADA! Your ART Space also has a Facebook Page.
