SW Colorado Arts & Events

by Kathryn R. Burke

Our artistic venues and communities are growing! We’re seeing a resurgence of Arts & Event Centers around the Western Slope. Many are conversions of old movie theaters. Some are repurposed historic buildings. Others are in community centers, galleries or live-performance theaters. Wherever and whatever they are,  we can experience art in its many forms, including gallery shows, film, live performances, music, classroom lessons, and special community events.  Here are a few we know about. Let us know if you have more. Contact us here to add your venue!

Listings below are for arts and events. Music events are listed in Music calendar.

Please note: Weehawken Creative Arts as an organization that serves Ridgway, Ouray and Montrose. They use a variety of spaces in these communities. You can find details on their website.  https://weehawkenarts.org/
