“Lucky Find”. Watercolor by Cheri Isgreen.

Cheri’s painting Lucky Find was chosen for exhibition, Splash of Colorado. The juried exhibit open to all Colorado artists working in water media (watercolor, acrylic, gouache, casein or tempera) on paper or synthetic paper. All work must be original, completed within the last two years and not previously shown in a juried exhibit in Colorado. The Splash of Colorado exhibit is held annually on the Western slope and enables the Colorado Watercolor Society to share the best in water media with a broad audience. The exhibition opens June 2 and runs through June 27. Opening Reception will be June 17, 5-8 pm. at the Crested Butte Center for the Arts.

Describing her painting and painting process, Cheri says: “I used poured watercolor techniques to get a rich blend of color in this largely neutralized color scheme. Three rodeo cowboys are depicted waiting for their run. What has one cowboy found? Will it increase his luck?”
