Featured Artist Joan Anderson, April 2021: Perfection in Abstract

[San Juan Silver Stage | May 2021 | Kathryn R. Burke]

Joan Anderson is an award-winning painter and workshop instructor. Her work in watercolor, collage, and —more recently—cold wax and oil have been featured in regional and national exhibits and in private collections. Although her work has always been predominately figure or animals, in the past two years, it has become more abstract.

Her artistic endeavors, combining different techniques and often layering materials and mediums, show the professionalism of years of experience and perfecting her art. Joan Anderson is a signature member of the Western Colorado Watercolor Society (WCWS) and (ANAC).

Anderson is currently showing at Montrose Center for the Arts (MCA) the month of April 2021. To see more of her artwork (some of which is in the exhibit), click here to be transferred to the MCA web page featuring her work. Select any image  scroll through work.
